Welcome to Royal Studios Miami Competition Team Auditions!
We are excited to welcome all dancers auditioning for the upcoming season. As our program enters it's inaugural season, the level of training and performance within our company is increasingly competitive. Auditions should be approached with focus and professionalism, as they reflect the expectations dancers will experience in a high-level, pre-professional environment as part of the Royal Dyansty Competition Team for the 2026–2027 season.
Each audition is an opportunity for dancers to demonstrate their current level of technique, performance quality, and growth. Our faculty evaluates dancers both individually and in group settings to determine appropriate placement for choreography and routines based on how they execute and retain the material taught during auditions.
Because styles such as lyrical, jazz, and contemporary require strong technical foundations, placement in these routines will be heavily based on technical performance. Dancers are expected to pick up choreography quickly, execute it accurately, and perform cohesively within a group. These elements play a key role in all placement decisions for the new season.
Important Audition Requirement:
All selected dancers must also participate in a MANDATORY 1-Week Intensive, taking place Monday, August 3rd through Friday, August 7th.
The official start of the 2026–2027 season will be Monday, August 17th.
Age & Placement Guidelines:
Dancers may be placed in groups above or below their age level based on ability and overall fit.
Audition Dress Code:
All dancers must arrive prepared and polished:
Hair slicked back into a clean, secure bun
Black sports bra
Black briefs and/or black leggings
Presentation and professionalism are key components of the audition process.
The audition schedule can be found on our website and instagram. The auditioner MUST pre-register. You will receive an email with your allocated time slot.
